Why she might be annoying:

    She began performing at age two and a half, billed as ‘Santa Fe’s Shirley Temple.’
    She was one of the starlets that studios set up on dates with Tab Hunter to cover up Hunter’s homosexuality.
    She said, ‘The one [picture] I didn’t want to do was ‘Revenge of the Creature.’ Science fiction was considered bottom of the barrel in those days. Of course, that’s the picture I’m most remembered for. It’s very ironic.’

    She was bedridden for four years after contracting rheumatic fever at age seven.
