He was so convincing as a butler on the 'Jack Benny Show' that many people thought he actually was Jack Benny's personal butler.
Why he might not be annoying
He adopted a son.
He had perfect comedic timing.
His mother walked a circus tightrope.
He became very good friends with Jack Benny, and worked with him for over 20 years.
He was forced to retire from the entertainment industry because of heart problems.
He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame (2001).
