Why he might be annoying:

There is more myth than truth told about him.
He was in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
He was sometimes called 'a modern day Robin Hood,' but he usually kept all the money he stole.
He, along with his gang, robbed trains and banks for nearly 16 years after the Civil War.
His gang is attributed to killing about 29 innocent people.
He was married to his first cousin.
Between 1882 to about 1940, hundreds of people claimed to be the real Jesse James.
He had a 10,000 dollar bounty on his head.
Bob and Charles Ford, two of his own gang members, killed him to collect the $10,000.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was shot in the back of the head while he was straightening a picture, this of course, killed him.
He was wounded while attempting to surrender during the Civil War.
Supposedly, he did give some of the money he stole to poor people.
The Ford brothers, who killed Jesse, did not collect the $10,000 instead they were tried for murder, found guilty but pardoned. Later Bob Ford was killed in a bar fight and Charles Ford committed suicide.
The remains of Jesse James have been buried and re-buried many times.
He is the most famous outlaw of the American West.
