He was the first Jamaican artist to score a number one hit in the United States.
'Kung Fu Fighting' was recorded in ten minutes, was a number one hit in several countries and sold over nine million copies worldwide.
He ranked #100 on VH-1's Top 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders.
Although no other songs of his were hits in the U.S., he had two more Top 20 hits in Britain.
After he released his third album, he moved to Germany and he currently owns a production company that supplies music for movies, documentaries and advertisements.
