He shares his name with the Heisman Trophy winner.
He missed three field goals in the 1997 Eastern Final which cost the Alouettes a chance at the Grey Cup.
He was frequently used as a scapegoat by the Montreal media.
Some football pundits considered him to be an inept kicker.
He frequently buckled under pressure situations.

He earned Grey Cup rings in both his first and last CFL seasons.
After announcing his retirement, he was honored for his on field accolades by the Nova Scotia government.
He won the CFL scoring title on two occasions.
He is viewed as being one of the greatest Nova Scotian born CFL players.
