He said about Jackson, ‘I never met anybody who was more well-adjusted or more normal.’
Apparently he saw nothing at all odd about Michael repeatedly having himself depicted as royalty.
Or the painting of Michael as Michelangelo’s David (fortunately with a cloth wrapped around his waist) surrounded by naked cherubim.

Why he might not be annoying:

His father was an abusive alcoholic.
He and Jackson bonded over their shared experience of traumatic childhoods.
He reportedly turned down hefty cash offers from the tabloids to dish dirt on Michael.
Before and after his sojourn at the Neverland Ranch, he was known for his highly detailed, photorealistic paintings of Apache life.
