Why they might be annoying
Each of their albums was released on a different label.
The band members allegedly signed their first recording contract with their own blood.
Their debut album ended with a 13-minute ‘Satanic Mass’ and came with a poster of Dawson naked on an altar.
They were a one-hit wonder.
The hippy-dippy ‘peace and love’ message of their hit did not fit well with the ‘Hail Satan’ message of their debut album.
Vocalist Dawson is the only member of the band on the version of ‘One Tin Soldier’ featured in the movie ‘Billy Jack.’
Allmusic described their records as ‘more flawed than groundbreaking.’
Why they might not be annoying
Their debut album featured an Oz Osborne and an opening track titled ‘Black Sabbath’ a year before Black Sabbath’s debut album featured an Ozzy Osbourne and an opening track titled ‘Black Sabbath.’
