Why he might be annoying:

He joined the socialist Fabian Society.
He was forced to resign as chairman of the Labour Party for refusing to support the government during World War I.
During the Depression, he suggested unemployment could be solved by encouraging the jobless to move to the country 'where they till and they grow and they sow and they harvest.'
He was vague in his rhetoric, with members of his own party unsure what his policies were.
He was expelled from the Labour Party for forming a coalition government with the Conservatives (1931).
His health failed in the 1930s and he became increasing ineffectual at dealing with growing international crises.

Why he might not be annoying:

He never concealed the fact that he was born out of wedlock.
He was the first British Prime Minister from a working-class background.
Despite his opposition to World War I, he toured the front and came under fire.
He spent much of his first ministry renegotiating German reparations to undo what he saw as the damages of the Treaty of Versailles.
He appointed the first female cabinet member when he named Margaret Bondfield as Minister of Labour (1929).
