Basketball Coach
    (May 28, 1961- )
    Born in Lincoln, Maine
Assistant coach for the New York Knicks (2001-03), Houston Rockets (2003-07), Orlando Magic (2007-11) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2011-13)
Head coach for the Adelphia University Panthers (1995-99) and the Charlotte (Bobcats) Hornets
He looks like a poor man's version of Jack Nicholson.
He never played a game of professional basketball.
He was a coaching nomad in the college basketball ranks.
He was the third person in a four year span to coach the Bobcats.
He comes off as being way too stoic in interviews.
He earned a degree in special education at the University of Maine at Farmington.
He was considered the most successful head coach in the history of the Adelphia University men's basketball program, as he was the first head coach in school history to record four consecutive 20+ win seasons.
He guided the Bobcats to their first playoff appearance in four years, and their final appearance under the Bobcats nickname.
He served on the coaching staffs for both Van Gundy brothers, as he started his NBA coaching career working under Jeff in both New York and Houston, before moving to Orlando to work under Stan.
He considers both the Van Gundy brothers his mentors, as both were influential in his transitioning his coaching style from the college ranks to the pros.
