The Resume

    (December 15, 1939- )
Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey
Member of Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles (1960-67) and the Supremes (1967-72,1973-76)
Participated in the Motown 25 (1983) and Motown 45 (2004) television specials

Why she might be annoying:

She left the Bluebelles without consulting Patti LaBelle, who refused to talk to her for years.
For her first two years as a Supreme, she was rarely heard on their singles, as she and fellow Supreme Mary Wilson were usually replaced by session singers.
She dropped out of the Supremes when she became pregnant, then returned when her replacement, Lynda Laurence, became pregnant.

Why she might not be annoying:

Birdsong is her actual last name, not a stage name.
She was kidnapped at knifepoint by the maintenance man of her apartment building, but escaped by jumping out of his car onto the Hollywood Freeway (December 2, 1969).
After leaving the Supremes, she became a nurse at UCLA Medical Center.
