Actress
    (April 1, 1948-August 8, 1972)
Born in New York City, New York
    Warhol Superstar
Appeared in the films '**** (Four Stars)' (1967), 'Imitation of Christ' (1967), 'Groupies' (1970), 'Trash' (1970) and 'Heat' (1972)
Committed suicide by jumping from a 14th floor apartment
For a regular gig at Max's Kansas City, at midnight she would jump on a table, rip open her shirt and sing 'Give My Regards to Broadway' while jiggling her breasts.
Factory regular Bob Colacello wrote, 'Her exhibitionism was extreme even by Superstar standards.'
    She abused amphetamines.
She made dates with a half dozen ex-boyfriends (including Jim Carroll) for the afternoon of her suicide so they would all be on the sidewalk to witness her death.
According to her Village Voice obituary, she left a note to her friends saying she loved them all but 'I'm going for the big time. I hit the jackpot!'
A rumor claimed that she had actually left an angry diatribe addressed to Warhol.
She said, 'No one takes me seriously because they think of me as a joke.'
A few days before her death, she jumped on a table at Max's, held up a picture of Marilyn Monroe and said, 'Marilyn's gone ten years, so love me while you can.'
Three weeks after her death, 'Heat' was released and her performance garnered good reviews.
