    After it was announced that Dave was recording a solo album, it rumour began that the band was about to breakup.
    When they invited Al Green to perform with them on stage at one of their concerts, he was booed off stage after he was bought out a second time and many fans wondered why Al Green was there in the first place (2000).
    They have a cult following.
    For the early years of the band, they toured the country and performed on college campuses.
    They are called one of the best live bands of all time. They ranked #4 on Rolling Stone's Top 20 Live Bands and #5 on Pollstar's Top 100 Tours of 2002.
    'Under the Table & Dreaming' sold over a million copies and created the huge hit, 'What Would You Say.'
    Two years after their first album was released, 'Crash' came out selling over seven million copies, going double platinum. It's considered one of the most influential albums of the nineties.
    They have their own independent record label. They signed David Gray after touring with him.
    Critics speculate that they will be credited as a big influence on many bands of the future.
