    (September 19, 1983-June 4, 1999)
    Born in United States
    Original version ran September 19, 1983-July 1, 1994
    Revival ran September 21, 1998-June 4, 1999
Hosted by Chuck Woolery (1983-1994) and Pat Bullard (1998-1999)
Premise: A single contestant and a studio audience choose between three bachelors/bachelorettes for the contestant to go out on a date with
It is considered a game show even though it is much more of a talk show.
It ripped off 'The Dating Game.'
A lot of the dates the contestants went on did not go so well.
Some of the couples would get into heated arguments with each other on the show.
The audience would sometimes boo if a contestant chose a date they didn't vote for.
Very few long-lasting relationships came from the show.
Most of the contestants had the most stereotypical 80's clothes and hairstyles.
    The late 90's revival flopped.
A handful of the couples who met on the show have gotten married.
The studio audience played a large role in helping the contestants pick dates.
TV Guide ranked it as the 49th greatest game show of all time.
Tone Loc's hit 'Funky Cold Medina' is about a date with a girl he met on the show.
It ran for more than eleven years.
Contestants came in all shapes, sizes and personality types.
