    Acted in ‘Man from Hell’s River (1922),’ ‘Night Cry (1926),’ ‘A Dog of the Regiment (1929)’ and ‘The Lightening Warrior (1931)’
    His nickname was ‘Rinty.’
    His daily diet was tenderloin prepared by his own chef.
    He inspired a mediocre movie ‘Won Ton Ton: The Dog Who Saved Hollywood’ (1976).
    His trainer was so devoted to him that it caused his marriage to break up.
    His ‘marriage’ to a female German shepherd was covered by the fan magazines.
    He is the most successful animal actor of all time.
    Like many human stars, his background was troubled and impoverished (an American serviceman rescued him from a bombed out kennel during World War I).
    His movies saved Warner Brothers from bankruptcy.
