Her best known film, 'Alice Sweet Alice,' is confusingly also known as 'Communion' and 'Holy Terror.'
She was 19 when she played a disturbed 12 year old in 'Alice Sweet Alice.'
Her final film 'Tam Lin' was never commercially released.
She left the film business for good when she failed to get the lead role in 'Clan of the Cave Bear' (1986).

Why she might not be annoying:

Her acclaimed performance in 'Alice Sweet Alice' notwithstanding, she came to be overshadowed by her notorious costar Brooke Shields.
Her two commercially released films both became cult classics.
She studied dance at college.
She has no regrets about leaving the film industry and focusing on her family.
