They don't seem to care that their team doesn't have such an exceptional history.

Their team is considered one of the CFL's most popular teams.
They are the most loyal and dedicated fanbases in the league and are willing to stick it out through many lean years.
Their fanbase dwarfs many of the other fanbases in the other eight cities.
Their team is a community owned franchise.
Some of their fans raised enough money to send ten terminally ill children on an all expenses paid trip to the 2007 Grey Cup.
Their team has a province wide cult following.
