Why he might be annoying:

His nickname 'Bep' was a result of his mom's thick Italian accent and would often address him as 'beppy.'
He was too small as a forward.
He was blacklisted in NHL circles as he was in favor of a players union being formed.
He spent the last ten seasons of his playing career in the minors.
He was fired by the Bruins after losing the Stanley Cup Finals (1974).

He got his break in the NHL after many rosters were looking to fill their rosters after the star players served in World War II.
He was the youngest coach in Bruins history to guide the team to the Stanley Cup Finals.
He was the first head coach in the history of the Scouts/Rockies/Devils franchise.
He was married to his wife for 62 years at the time of his passing.
He was the youngest player in NHL history, as he played his first game at the age of 16 (November 12, 1942).
