Formed in Youngstown, Ohio as Premiers
    1967 line-up:
Joe 'Ting' Markulin - guitar, vocals
John 'Dick' Belley - guitar, vocals
    Mel Pachuta - bass, vocals
    Mike Tatman - drums
    Recorded 'Nobody But Me'
They were a one hit wonder in the U.S.
They got the idea to change their '50s sounding name and image from a bowling alley manager.
They chose Human Beingz but a typo by the record company dropped the 'g,' causing a major rift.
Their record company stated it would fix the mistake if their single 'Nobody But Me' flopped, but it was a hit and the group's misspelled name stayed put.
They broke up in 1969, but, would've been sued if they didn't fulfill their signed obligation to tour Japan, so they toured and then immediately split.
For some reason Markulin revived the group with him as the only original member to play fairs and casinos.
Their original drummer was sent on a military tour, and when he finished, the band was already established without him, so a mutual if uneasy parting of the ways occurred.
In 1968, 'Nobody But Me' (written by the Isley Brothers) became a Top 10 smash in America and sold over a million copies.
The song, as well as 'Hold on Baby,' both hit #1 in Japan, where they enjoyed a huge cult following.
They literally turned a 'negative' song into something positive, as the word 'no' in 'Nobody But Me' is sung 100 times (and the word 'nobody' 46 times).
