    Shot dead by Harry K. Thaw, Nesbit's husband
    He slept around on his wife.
    He put a knockout drug in Evelyn Nesbit's champagne and had sex with her while she was unconscious.
    He had a velvet swing in his apartment for the sole purpose of being able to look up women's skirts.
    He was shot to death in a building that he, himself designed.
    He was well educated and an architectural genius.
    He was charming and friendly, and was a social figure among New York's upper class.
    He was a pioneer of the elegant Gilded Age architectural style.
    His buildings still stand today, and are both majestic and functional.
