Assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers (2002-03) and the New York Knicks (2003-08)

Why he might be annoying:

He opted to skip his senior season at DePaul to turn pro.
He frequently clashed with his teammates during his tenure with the Mavericks.
He had notable confrontations with his coach, Dick Motta and teammates Derek Harper and Rolando Blackman among others.
Despite having the support of Mavericks owner Donald Carter, the dissention between him and his teammates was bad enough that the team felt it was in their best interests to trade him away.
He spent his final NBA season on a lousy Clippers team.

He was the second underclassman to be selected with the first overall pick.
He was the first player in Mavericks franchise history to be drafted #1 overall.
He was considered the centerpiece of the Mavericks franchise during the 1980's.
He earned two championship rings as a member of the Pistons (1989, 1990).
He excelled playing alongside the likes of Isiah Thomas and Dennis Rodmanduring the Pistons famed 'Bad Boys' era.
