    Johnny Wayne (May 28, 1918-July 18, 1990), birth name was Louis Weingarten
    Frank Shuster (September 5, 1916-January 13, 2002)
    Hosts of the CBC's 'Wayne and Shuster Hour' (1952-54) and a series of specials (1954-85)
    Notable sketches include 'The Shakespearean Baseball Game,' 'Rinse the Blood Off My Toga,' 'I Was a TV Addict' and 'Frontier Psychiatrist'
    Shuster was cousin of 'Superman' co-creator Joe Shuster and father-in-law of SNL producer Lorne Michaels
    They were originally Shuster and Wayne before an ad exec convinced them to switch the names around.
    They recycled material, so 1957's 'Cinderelvis' became 1975's 'Cinderelton.'
    Wayne's son's description of how the pair settled creative differences: 'Whoever argued loudest would win the fight. That's basically how decisions were made.'
    They entertained Canadian troops during World War II and the Korean War.
    They appeared a record 67 times on The Ed Sullivan Show.
    The New York Times hailed them as 'harbingers of literate slapstick.'
    Their Julius Caesar meets Raymond Chandler sketch 'Rinse the Blood Off My Toga' was named a Canadian MasterWork by the Audio-Visual Trust of Canada (2000).
