    He smoked (a habit which took his life).
    He often smoked during tapings of 'I've Got a Secret.'
    He 'retired' from television in 1964, then returned 5 years later to host 'To Tell the Truth.'
    He shares a similar name with Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore.
    He hosted three different variety shows on TV and radio called 'The Garry Moore Show.'
    He successfully made the transition from radio to television.
    He is credited for giving Carol Burnett her first big break.
    He made one more appearance on 'To Tell the Truth' after having surgery for throat cancer to pass the hosting baton to Joe Garagiola.
    He was one of the first 'television personalities.'
