Why she might be annoying
She was twice widowed and once divorced.
After severe injury, she claimed the Bible and her faith in God cured her.
She then founded an entire religion based upon this personal experience she thought she had.
She renounced modern medicine and medical treatment, and encouraged others to do the same.
She repeatedly claimed it was a sin to seek medical help, and if a person happened to get sick, it was God's will.
Untold amounts of children have died because of her religion's stance against blood transfusions and medication for slight illnesses.
She might have stolen her ideas from a quack doctor who once treated her with his 'magnetic fluid.'
She was terrified of being 'mentally murdered' by her enemies.
There was nothing scientific about her religion.
Why she might not be annoying
Her second husband cheated on her openly.
She spent three years reading the Bible while developing her religion.
Her religion is dropping in numbers (probably from routine infections).
She somehow lived to be 89.
Her secular newspaper 'Christian Science Monitor' has won six Pulitzer prizes.
