TV Series
    (June 21, 2012-February 4, 2015)
    Jenni Farley (J-Woww)
    Nicole Polizzi (Snooki)
Lampooning the personal lives of two Mutt-and-Jeff ‘guidettes’ – and their men – away from the Jersey Shore
Theme is ‘I Love It’ by Icona Pop
It isn’t the only Jersey Shore spinoff — Pauly D has one, too.
Its tentative title had ‘vs. the World’ tacked on at the end.
Several locations rejected the crew on grounds of not wanting to be forced to devote their manpower to cleaning up after them.
You do not want to know what a ‘cooka’ is — let’s just say you might not want to cook with it.
They always seem to have a little too much time on their hands, making them appear lazier than they really are.
Its first season was half-hour episodes; it expanded to an hour in its second season.
Hardly any references are made to the other ‘guidos’ or ‘guidettes’ — and they actually call each other by their proper names.
Their first season was filmed in a former firehouse in Jersey City — following a public outcry in the show’s Pennsylvania namesake and denial of a permit in Hoboken.
Polizzi’s ‘bun in the oven’ took the premise from simple Laverne & Shirley antics to significant society and relationship issues.
Tubbing, clubbing, GTL, pickles, and ‘meatball benders’ – hallmarks of its parent series – aren’t easy to come by here (nor is Snooki’s once-legendary poofy beehive).
Polizzi and Farley are also producers and co-creators of the series.
