    Formed in Detroit in 1971
Jim Gold - lead vocals, guitar
    Dennis Kovarik - bass, vocals
    Cal Freeman - steel guitar
    Fred DiCenso - guitar
    Danny Brucato - drums
Recorded 'Nice to Be with You,' 'I Believe in Music' and 'Big City Miss Ruth Ann'
Jim Gold was a solo artist, but Sussex, his record label, wanted him billed as a band, so the label slapped together session musicians, called them Gallery, and sent them on their way touring.
By their second album, the label decided it wanted Gold front and center and called the album 'Gallery featuring Jim Gold' (make up your minds record dudes).
In 1976 Sussex folded, and so did the band.
Gold tried to regenerate a solo career with very little success.
Gold was discovered by famed guitarist Dennis Coffey, who had worked with Motown and had his own Top 40 hit with 'Scorpio.'
1972's 'Nice to Be with You' was a smash hit, reaching #4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Their follow up songs, the Mac Davis penned 'I Believe in Music' and 'Big City Miss Ruth Ann,' each cracked the Top 25 in 1972 and 1973 respectively.
Gallery was voted 'The Best New Single's Group of 1972' by Cash Box, and 'The Best Vocal Group' by Record World.
During 1972-73, they toured with Billy Preston, B.J. Thomas, Charlie Daniels and Jose Feliciano.
As of 2008, 'Nice to Be with You' had reached over 3½ million radio airplays, meaning if you've never heard it, you probably don't know what a radio is.
