The Resume

    (March 29, 1971- )
    Born in Auburn, Alabama
White House Press Secretary for the Obama administration
Communications chief for Barack Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign

Why he might be annoying:

Many criticized him for not making Obama more available to the media during the 2008 campaign.
He can be rather confrontational and aggressive when addressing reporters.
He notoriously had an on-air smackdown with Sean Hannity of Fox News Channel.
During the 2004 campaign, he joined a group which launched vicious attack ads against fellow Democrat Howard Dean.
He was on his high school's debate team.

Why he might not be annoying:

He graduated North Carolina State University with a political science degree.
He was the goal tender for North Carolina State's soccer team.
He didn't back down when it came to defending the Obama administration's policies.
When Sean Hannity pestered him about Jeremiah Wright, he fought back by asking Hannity about a famed anti-Semite who had appeared for an hour-long interview on his show.
After CNBC's Rick Santelli went on a tirade about Obama's mortgage plan, Gibbs scolded him in a press conference and suggested he read the mortgage plan so he would know the facts.
