Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He began sporting a scruffy unkempt appearance upon signing with the Dodgers.
His long beard makes him look like a vagrant.
He is best remembered by the people who followed the 2003 College World Series by being hit in the face by a fastball after going 3 for 3 in the game.
He failed to establish himself as an everyday player during his stints with the Orioles and the Mets.
His selection into the 2017 All-Star Game was the subject of ridicule as the Dodgers went as far as creating a voting station to get fans to vote him into the game through the MLB Final Vote competition.

Why he might not be annoying:

He initially began his career in the middle infield, before making the switch to third base.
He set a Mets franchise record for consecutive games with an RBI for a rookie.
He was invited to the Dodgers training camp, after Tim Wallach watched him play at a Cal-State Fullerton alumni game and was impressed with his versatility.
He made the Dodgers as a non-roster invitee and became a fan favorite.
He was a member of the Cal State-Fullerton baseball team that won the College World Series (2004).
