    As half of Buchanan and Goodman recorded 'The Flying Saucer' (1956) and 'Santa and the Satelite' (1957)
    As half of Spencer and Spencer recorded 'Russian Bandstand' (1959)
    Solo recorded 'The Touchables' (1961), 'Batman and His Grandmother' (1966), 'Energy Crisis 74' (1974) and 'Mr. Jaws' (1975)
    Known for 'break-in' records in which a reporter's questions were answered with snippets from popular songs
    Died from a self-inflicted gunshot
    He dropped out of NYU, reportedly after causing an explosion in the science lab.
    Publishers of several of the songs he sampled on 'Flying Saucer' sued for copyright infringement.
    He continued recording as Buchanan and Goodman even after Bill Buchanan left the act.
    He was married four times.
    He had a gambling problem.
    Several of the songs featured in 'The Flying Saucer' saw their sales increase.
    He responded to the legal brouhaha over 'The Flying Saucer' with a new break-in record, 'Buchanan and Goodman on Trial.'
