    He went by his 'Chief' nickname even though he was not Native American.
    He was often booed by fans as a rookie player due to his low batting power.
    He missed seven games due to an injury he suffered in the first game of the 1910 season.
    He also recorded a career high of being struck out 68 times in the 1910 season.
    He closed out his playing career on a losing Cardinals team.

    Pirates manager Fred Clarke said that he had the height of the Chief of the Texas Ranger Division at 6'2.
