Auto Racer
    (January 13, 1980-October 11, 2013)
    Born in Madrid, Spain
    Grand Am, Team Mastercar (2005)
World Touring Car Championship, Team Maurer Motorsport (2006–2007)
Euroseries 3000, Team Emilio de Villota (father) Motorsport (2008)

The profile section of her official website lists her accomplishments in ‘driver’ and ‘woman’ columns — the latter being almost entirely about her sport.
During a straight line testing of her car at Duxford Aerodrome, at some 50-65 km/h (31-40 mph), she crashed into a stationary truck (July 3, 2012); it took an hour to free her from the car.
The injury from the Duxford test also cost her her right eye.
Her one winning race (and pole position) — out of more than a hundred? 2007.
Her father and younger brother are also racers… so she comes by it honestly.
Her official website does have an English-language section.
During her recovery, fellow racers wore a slanted star symbol on their helmets and cars as a tribute to her.
‘There are many women who can drive well and so it is important to try to open the way for others to see that it is not something so unusual.’
