    Drafted 32nd overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft
    Forward for the Buffalo Sabres (2003-12), Dallas Stars (2012-13), Vancouver Canucks (2013), St. Louis Blues (2013-14) and the Nashville Predators

Why he might be annoying:

    Some hockey pundits pronounce his surname WAH instead of ROY.
    His point productivity declined dramatically during his four year junior career.
    He is extremely injury prone.
    He bears a striking resemblance to actor Paul Walker.
    He was accused of being a hothead while playing in junior.

    He had a standout junior career with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League, earning League MVP and Memorial Cup MVP honors.
    He captained the Kitchener Rangers to their first Memorial Cup championship in 20 years (2003).
    In his first full NHL season, he scored the franchise's fastest goal to open a playoff game.
    He was a member of the Sabres team that played in the 2008 NHL Winter Classic.
    Despite his diminutive stature, he excelled as being one of the NHL's most reliable shutdown forwards.
