Why he might be annoying:

    He was twice drafted by the Baltimore Colts, but refused to sign a contract both times.
    He was injury prone during the last couple seasons of his career.
    He was traded to the Calgary Stampeders for virtually nothing.
    He was released by the Stampeders, in a move which virtually ended his career.
    He was a member of an Alouettes team that was considered good, but not good enough to win a Grey Cup.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He opted to sign in the CFL, when the Alouettes offered him a signing bonus, which helped finance his honeymoon.
    He led the CFL in rushing during his first two seasons with the Alouettes.
    He was a successful football coach in the Rhode Island high school ranks in the years following his retirement from active play.
    He set a Rhode Island football record for most yards rushed in a single game (306 in 1952).
    He was inducted into the University of Rhode Island Athletic Hall of Fame (1972).
