    Responsible for hundreds of 'ecotage (ecological sabotage)' attacks in the United States and Canada
    They are the #1 domestic terrorist group in the United States according to the FBI.
    Their goal is to 'inflict economic damage to those who profit from the destruction & exploitation of the environment.'
    Their tactics include arson, theft and vandalism of private property.
    They believe conventional methods of civil disobedience do not prompt significant policy changes.
    They operate in anonymous cells, making police investigations rather difficult.
    They set fire to the Vail Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado (1998).
    They burned down a condominium in San Diego, and left a banner reading 'If you build it, we will burn it (2003).'
    They vandalized several vehicles at a Los Angeles car dealership because they were not 'fuel efficient.'
    Their antics have caused millions of dollars worth of damage in the United States and Canada.
    They are partly funded by PeTA.
    They don't consider the environmental damage caused by the smoke from their fires, and the water that gets wasted when the fire fighters have to put them out.
    They raise awareness of environmental issues.
    Their guidelines state that no human or animal should be physically harmed by any member's actions.
    The Earth Liberation Front founder believes the organization's tactics have become too violent.
    Their methods are denounced by traditional environmental groups.
    They have fought against farmers who use pesticides deemed toxic by scientists.
