The Resume

    (September 15, 1969- )
    Born in Minnesota
    Represents Wisconsin's 3rd District (assumed office January 3, 2023)
    Republican
Appeared in the movies 'Act of Valor' (2012), 'Surviving the Wild' (2018), and 'Running with the Devil' (2019)

Why he might be annoying:

In his book 'A Navy Seal's Guide to the Lost Art of Manhood,' he bragged about showing two unsuspecting women the swollen scrotum ('big as a cantaloupe') of a hospitalized soldier.
He claimed the increased murder rate in 'advanced cultures' was a result of women working outside the home.
He attended Donald Trump's 'Stop the Steal' rally (January 6, 2021).
He was fined and placed on a year's probation after attempting to bring a loaded gun through an airport security checkpoint (August 17, 2021).
He confronted a teenaged library intern over a Pride Month display of books with LGBT+ themes and was described by staffers as 'threatening' with 'full-on shouting.' (June 17, 2021).
While giving visitors a midnight tour of the Capitol, he came across several teenaged Senate pages lying on the floor of the Rotunda, taking pictures of the Capitol dome interior, and delivered an obscenity-laced tirade, calling them 'jackasses' and 'lazy pieces of shit.' (July 26, 2023)
In defending his rant, he said it was 'terribly disrespectful to lay on the grave of a soldier that died fighting for freedom,' ignoring the minor fact that no soldiers are buried at the Capitol.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a Navy Seal with tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He said watching Iraqis vote for the first time 'made me more proud as an American and as a SEAL than I’ve really ever been.'
He said he left Stop the Steal rally 'when it became clear that a protest had become a mob.'
He tweeted to denounce the attack on the Capitol that followed the rally as 'unlawful political violence.'
He said, 'Bad press has never bothered me.'
