Why he might be annoying:

    He floated between the NHL and the minor leagues during his playing career.
    He guided the Canucks to a 36–62–27 record in his season and a half at the helm.
    He played a total of 18 games over two seasons, before landing with the Rangers full-time.
    Many Canucks fans don't remember his captaincy in the same manner as the likes of Stan Smyl, Trevor Linden, Markus Naslund and Henrik Sedin.
    He was primarily selected by the Canucks in the 1970 Expansion Draft, due to his ties with the Western Hockey League incarnation of the franchise.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the first captain in the history of the Canucks franchise.
    He recorded his only hat trick of his career a member of the Canucks (December 12, 1970).
    He was the first Canucks alumni to be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor (2010).
    He serves as a community ambassador for the Canucks franchise.
    He turned down a larger offer to play in the World Hockey Association to remain with the Canucks til the end of his career.
