Why they might be annoying:

After a few gigs with the original line-up, Plant decided the material he was writing was more suited for a solo album and put the band on the back burner.
Plant was reportedly alarmed by the success of ‘Sea of Love,’ which he feared would recast him as a crooner instead of a hard rock singer.
As a result, the full-length album that had been promised was never recorded.

Why they might not be annoying:

Plant formed the band to return to his pre-Led Zeppelin roots in blues and R&B.
Plant revived the band as a supergroup after Atlantic Records head Ahmet Ertegun talked to him about recording an album of ‘50s songs.
Their cover of ‘Sea of Love’ reached #3 on the Billboard Top 40, one spot higher than Led Zep’s biggest US single, ‘Whole Lotta Love.’
