He supported highway tolls which were very unpopular across his state.
During his run for Senate, he ran a lot of cheesy ads.

His strict laws helped keep his state's Covid-19 numbers down.
He was well liked by many of his former students.
He listened to scientists while handleing the Covid-19 crisis.
