Why Taiwan might be annoying
One of its natural resources is asbestos.
Its people suffer from earthquakes and cyclones.
Much of the drinking water is contaminated.
Methamphetamines and heroin are used domestically (and illegally) by many.
The air in Taipei (the nation's capital) is extremely polluted.
The people eat dog and bear.
Why Taiwan might not be annoying
People enjoy living in Taipei so much, that it's almost impossible to find real estate.
Taiwanese opera is a major avenue of entertainment in the culture.
The people are extremely health conscious and engage in activities like taijiquan (slow motion boxing) and acupuncture.
Funerals are a form of entertainment, sometimes consisting of karaoke bars and strippers (talk about a happy ending!).
It develops and manufactures many of the world's semiconductors.
