    Birth name was Alfred Edward Housman
    Wrote ‘A Shropshire Lad (1896),’ ‘The Name and Nature of Poetry (1933)’ and ‘More Poems (1936)’
    Taught classics at University College London and Cambridge University

    He was painfully shy and had few friends.
    He made non reciprocated pass at his straight college roommate.
    He was so upset at being rejected that he bombed on his final exams at Oxford.
    He was so in love with his roommate that he seduced the roommate’s brother.
