    Born in Colonia, New Jersey
Linebacker for the Buffalo Bills (1979)
Head coach for the Edmonton Eskimos (2001-2004), Calgary Stampeders (2005-2007) and the Montreal Alouettes
Director of officiating for the Canadian Football League (2007-2014)

Why he might be annoying:

He named his son after himself.
His NFL career lasted one season.
He is viewed as being a pushover coach by fans and pundits alike.
His conservative play calling in a crucial Western Semi-final game led fans to demand his firing (2004).
Prior to the Stampeders Western semi-final game, the Calgary media had all but declared him fired whether the team won or lost (2007).

Why he might not be annoying:

He succeded Don Matthews as the Eskimos head coach.
He led the team to consecutive Grey Cup appearances, winning the 2003 game.
He groomed Ricky Ray into one of the CFL's dominant quarterbacks during Ray's first few seasons in the league.
He was able to take both his firings in stride.
