    Despite claiming his innocence, he never publicly uttered words against France.

    The French republicans, socialist and anti-clerics supported Dreyfus.
    Emile Zola wrote 'J'Accuse' in defense of Dreyfus and Zola was then thrown in jail.
    He was pardoned (1906).
    The French officially admitted they were wrong (1985).
    His case proved anti-semitism was the practice of the French military, royalists and Roman Catholic church.
    George Whyte wrote 'The Dreyfus Affair ... is an example of mindless racism.'
