Internet Personality

The Resume

    Born in Munster, Germany
    YouTube blogger-influencer
Unofficially nicknamed ‘the antidote to Greta Thunberg’ (or ‘anti-Greta’) for her counter-stance on climate change
Author of ‘Sometimes I keep silent’ (poem on nationalism, published at age 16 on Philosophia Perennis blog)

Why she might be annoying:

She admits to being a ‘paid conservative blogger.’
She compares the ‘climate denier’ designation to a ‘Holocaust denier’ designation (which isn’t out of line in her homeland).
In a video titled ‘Message to the Media,’ she put a twist on Thunberg’s famous Climate Action Summit outcry of ‘How dare you?’ She would ultimately embrace the ‘climate change denier’ designation she previously dismissed as ‘an atrocious insult.’
Despite herself denying such membership, her mother was a lawyer alleged to have represented the far-right Alternative fur Deutschland party.
It would not be hard to mistake her for a Eurovision artist.

Why she might not be annoying:

Unlike Thunberg, she speaks English fluently and doesn’t often need scripts or notes.
She readily affirms that climate change is real (and continuous), what with her having once identified as the type of alarmist that came to be equated with Thunberg.
Her Disney Channel looks – in sharp contrast to the Pippi-ish Thunberg – certainly don’t hurt her case.
She has voiced concerns about the intentions and side effects of feminism.
Thanks in no small part to her age and build, the Heartland Institute considers her a refreshing change of image from the ‘old white men’ of past cases against ‘climate protection measures.’
Whether alarm, denial, or skepticism her commentary on climate change is going to take on new meaning in the post-Coronavirus (2019) landscape (‘I don’t want you to panic. I want you to think’).
