Prior to breaking into acting, he worked as a gigolo.
He was gay, entering into a marriage of convenience with lesbian entertainer Greta Heller.
He had an affair with Howard Hughes.
He was found falling out of a car, wearing only swim trunks, with a small knife lodged in his back.
A camera discovered in the car contained nude photos of him on a beach.

Why he might not be annoying:

When his relationship with Howard Hughes ended, the mogul made it hard for him to get acting work.
Greta, heavily pregnant with their child, collapsed on a film set when she heard of his death. She went into premature labor and the baby was stillborn.
His homicide was never solved.
