At 13, she ran away to Las Vegas and became an underage cocktail waitress.
She was married seven times and divorced five.
She served 27 months in prison for committing perjury at the tax evasion trial of her boyfriend, mobster Mickey Cohen.
She toured in a mother-daughter striptease act, until her daughter committed suicide in 1982.
She had extensive plastic surgery.

Why she might not be annoying:

She won a Marilyn Monroe look-alike contest sponsored by 20th Century Fox.
She managed to get a five-page spread in 'Life' while just a movie extra.
She said of her perjury conviction, 'I did a thing like Clinton did. Only thing was, I thought I had a better reason because I didn't want to end up in the East River.'
The Las Vegas Review-Journal noted that at 80, 'In the right light, she could still turn heads and charm the chips from casino players pockets.'
