Her middle name is Dustin, which she also named her son.
She's battled a lifelong weight problem and weighed 100 pounds as a third grader.
She was a shy kid who stuttered.
The Lovemongers was a Heart side project between her and sister Nancy.
After stating, 'Every single diet has worked - temporarily, just for a minute,' she underwent a laparoscopistry (stomach shrinking surgery) in 2002.

Her father was a military man so the family moved a lot, making it hard for her to establish roots or make friends.
She has a powerful singing voice.
Her favorite band is Led Zeppelin and she's covered several of their songs.
She is Heart's main songwriter and has written the classics 'Crazy On You,' 'Magic Man,' 'Barracuda' and 'Straight On.'
She adopted a daughter in 1991 and a son in 1998.
