    Taught at Brooklyn College (1963-1988)
    Painted ‘Male and Female Nudes with Red and Purple Drape’ (1968), ‘Nude on Couch’ (1969), ‘Two Nudes’ (1969), ‘Two Nudes on an Old Indian Rug’ (1971), ‘Two Models with Mirror and Painting’ (1982), ‘Two Nudes with Horse Weathervanes & Punch’ (1988), and ‘Two Models with Blow-Up Chair’ (1998)

Why he might be annoying:

    His paintings of nudes aren’t the romantic kind.
    His later works became more depersonalized through harsh lighting and arbitrary cropping.
    His alliterative initials are pronounced as ‘pee-pee’.

    His studies at Carnegie Mellon were interrupted when he was drafted into the army to serve in World War II. (1943)
    His paintings of nudes are perceived as realistic rather than pornographic.
    He painted his paintings based on what is seen for its own sake rather than adding sensuality sanctioned by history, religion, or mythology.
    He was friends with fellow artist Andy Warhol.
