    (June 21, 1957- )
Creator of 'Bloom County' comic strip
    He was raised a vegetarian.
    He never went to school.
He earned money by carving nude caricatures of local politicians out of tar balls.
He ended Bloom County by saying 'I have grown stubbornly affectionate toward my characters, and I have little desire to see Opus, Bill the Cat, and others disappear from my life. But after ten years of squeezing Bloom Countians into postage stamp-sized stories, I thought it might be more comfortable for all concerned if we took a powder from the daily pages.'
He enjoys catching lizards and spelunking with blindfolds.
Bloom County ran for only nine years.
He created Opus the Penguin, Bill the Cat and Rosebud the Bassalope.
    He ended Bloom County classically.
He had eleven best-selling cartoon collections with nearly seven million copies in print.
He received the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning (1987).
He dealt with things in a very funny way.
Bloom County was popular enough for Microsoft to use as one of their Windows' themes.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
