    Coach for the Baltimore Orioles (1964-67) and the Oakland Athletics (1968)
    Two-time World Series champion (1947 and 1966)
    Selected into the Chicago White Sox All-Century Team (September 23, 2000)

Why he might be annoying:

    Despite his achievements he made in the 1950s, he didn't get as much attention as Yogi Berra.
    He began his major league career as a backup.
    He never hit a home run in a World Series game until 1959.
    A hand injury limited his playing time in his last season with the Yankees.
    His playing time was also limited in the 1962 season because of a thumb problem as a got hit by a pinch in one game.
    He was the AL leader for being grounded into double plays (1959).
