Why Hebrew (Jewish) Calendar might be annoying:

October 5, 3761 is claimed to be the creation of Adam.
Many of the holidays are miserable, including fasting and abstaining from anything pleasurable in remembrances of those who suffered or died.
There are 6 types of years - Defective common years (353 days), Regular common years (354 days), Excessive common years (355 days), Defective leap years (383 days), Regular leap years (384 days) and Excessive leap years (385 days).
Like the Islamic calender, originally a new month started when a bit of the moon was observed and verified.
    The day begins at sunset.
The New Year (Rosh Hashanah) cannot be on Sunday, Wednesday or Friday. There are other criteria that can also delay the start of the year.
The calendar is used for Jewish religious observances.
Most Jewish holidays are in Tishrei (Gregorian: September/October).
The calendar is used to commemorate anniversaries of dead love ones (Yahrzeits).
At times, months were added arbitrarily to keep the Passover observance (Exodus from Egypt) in the spring.
Every 231 years, it loses a day to the Gregorian calendar.

Why Hebrew (Jewish) Calendar might not be annoying:

The calendar changed from moon observations to calculations.
Because the starting date of the calendar is fixed, it is easy to calculate Gregorian days.
In 63 B.C.E. many Jews began following the Ancient Roman Calendar which eventually changed to the Gregorian calendar.
The calendar is referenced in the Jewish Torah (bible).
