He became the first African-American quarterback to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He helped lead the Edmonton Eskimos to five straight Grey Cups victories (1978-1982).
He was one of the most dominant quarterbacks of the late 1980's and early 1990's.
He was one of the first mobile quarterbacks.
